Words
Find the word that interrupted you.
Read from the offer in front of you
Circle the word you could not explain to someone else. Begin there. There is no need to read every card before asking a question.
A practice may describe its care as “functional medicine”. That name alone does not tell you what will happen at your visit. Ask what the visit includes and how it differs from seeing your usual doctor.
This guide covers peptide treatment offers. Its recorded sources do not define a standard functional medicine visit. Keep the proposed treatment name beside the practice’s explanation.
Follow the words in this order
Turn a term into a question
Try this on your visit note: “When you use that word, what does it mean for the treatment being offered to me?” Ask for the answer in ordinary words.
Then ask for the written name and the source behind the claim. Keep the wording. It makes the next conversation easier to follow.
